It’s never too late to boost your skills, knowledge and employability. Our part-time courses are designed with adult learners in mind.
Whatever your background or experience – whether you are looking to improve your career, changing careers, or returning to work, we have programmes to meet your learning needs and hopes for the future.
Our courses cover many areas such as Accountancy, Construction, Health & Social Care and Teaching & Learning.
Our online distance learning courses are ideal for learners who are either looking for employment or want to add new knowledge to enhance their professional skills in their current roles.
Learning is aimed at adults and takes place online, with marking and feedback from a knowledgeable and experienced assessor. Learners are awarded a nationally recognised certificate.
Learners can start and finish at any time of the year. Tuition fees are funded from the Adult Education Budget, meaning that learners are not charged a fee to enrol.

We try to make our courses accessible to as many people as possible, so they are taught in small groups by friendly tutors in our main campuses in Bath and Radstock, as well as in many other community hubs.
If you require help with transportation, equipment or childcare costs, please let us know and we may be able to help.
We also offer other levels of ESOL and CELTA courses in our English Language School and Functional Skills and GCSE English & Maths courses, to help you continue your education or even take that first step.
Bath College are delivering a series of SWAPs for over 19s who are either not in work or are on a low income. Job Coaches would normally refer people who are on Universal Credit onto the courses but people can enrol directly through the college.
Please chat with your Job Coach if you have one, or our Student Services Team on 01225 328720.
Most SWAPs will have some level of Work Experience and/or hands-on taster sessions. We always partner with at least one employer who have live jobs available and at the end of the SWAP, and leaners are guaranteed a job interview for one of those jobs.
As well as the sector-specific training, we run a Skills Health Check which looks at your levels of English, Maths and ICT and more general employability around CVs, covering letters, applying for jobs, progression pathways and preparing you for the workplace.
SWAPs are free (please check eligibility) and cover many different areas of work. For more information get in contact with our Student Services Team on 01225 328720.

You must provide the full amount of the course fees (as indicated alongside your chosen course/s) together with your completed Learning Agreement (Enrolment Form) and, where necessary, an official letter confirming receipt of benefits, dated within the last 6 months, to apply for a course fee reduction. Please note that postal enrolments which are incomplete or do not have payment included will be returned for completion. This may delay your enrolment and a place on the course may be lost.

There are several methods of payment available:
Can I pay by instalments?
Yes, If your course, or combination of courses, costs £300 or more you may choose to pay by three equal instalments. The first due at enrolment and the other two instalments must be paid in consecutive months by standing order, starting the month after enrolment.
In addition, if you are enrolling on a short course, fees must be paid in full at least eight weeks before the end of your course. All fees are due in all circumstances.
If you choose to pay by instalments you should complete a Standing Order Mandate form (C024). Please enter all your bank details on the form. This should include the name, address and sort code of your bank, the account number, the account holder’s name and the amount due.
The completed form should be presented to the College together with your Learning Agreement (Enrolment Form). Please ensure that you also enclose, or bring with you, your first instalment. Once enrolled, you will be liable for full fees.
