Confidence. Courses. Careers.

King's Trust

Every young person should have the chance to succeed.

A million young people have started something with The King's Trust – becoming health workers, sports coaches, youth workers, fashion designers, builders and business owners. Could you be next?

You’ve got what it takes to gain the confidence and skills to get a job. But sometimes it takes that first step, and we're here to help.

Bath College is a Delivery Partner of the King's Trust and we offer two courses to help you take that first step:

  • Team - a 12-week programme including a group community project
  • Achieve - a flexible personal development programme, between October and July.

You can find out more about the work of the King's Trust by visiting the King's Trust website.

Team

When you join the Team programme, you’ll be challenged to:

  • Take on your own group community project, making a positive difference to the place where you live
  • Have the chance to take part in a fun-filled residential trip
  • Get two weeks’ work experience in something you’re interested in
  • Develop your English, maths, communication and teamwork skills
  • Have the opportunity to achieve a qualification

As part of the course, you'll also spend some time developing your interview and CV skills to ensure your confidence is sky-high when taking the next step.

The programme is completely free and won’t affect your Jobseeker’s Allowance.

Achieve

The King’s Trust Achieve programme is a flexible personal development programme.

It's designed to support and empower students aged 16-19 (and up to 25 with SEN statement or EHCP) who may need additional assistance to succeed in education.

It supports education providers by providing learning resources and guidance for us to deliver flexibly in our setting. There's also the option for Achieve learners to gain a King’s Trust qualification. Our qualifications are regulated by the appropriate regulatory bodies.

The Achieve programme helps learners to develop skills and experience for life, whilst building their confidence to realise their potential.

How to Apply

Follow the link for the relevant courses below. You'll then be contacted to book in for an interview. This will be held at the College and will include the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have.
