Following trials, successful students will be invited to join their chosen academy. Membership of the academy runs alongside their main course at Bath College, allowing them to pursue both academic and sporting excellence.

Each coach is dedicated to creating a positive, challenging, and supportive environment where individuals can grow both on and off the field.
Qualifications / Experience:
BSc Sport & Exercise science, MSc Strength and Conditioning, UEFA qualified coach and part of the Nike and FA powerhouse project.
Alongside working for the college, I currently work with England Football as a coach developer and Gloucestershire FA within the girl's development centre.
Previously I have worked with Bristol City FC and Bristol Bears.

"The Bath City FC Women's Football Academy is a fantastic opportunity to combine full-time football alongside any Bath College course. As part of the programme, players have access to two 2-hour training sessions per week, Strength and Conditioning and competitive fixtures. The academy provides a unique pathway where players can develop both academically and athletically, supported by high quality coaching, competitive match experience and a positive learning environment. It enables players to work towards their long-term goals, whether that's further study, elite performance, or future careers in sport"

For over 20 years, PGA Professional Peter Langford, has been involved at the highest levels of college golf in the UK. From taking South Gloucestershire and Stroud (formerly Filton) college Golf Academy from its inception to national champions in 3 of his last 4 years.
He helped set up and run the Intercollegiate Tour nationally, and is still involved with its running today.In developing and refining an elite college golf programme, Peter has struck just the right blend of high-level competition, analysis and evaluation, structured training sessions, mentoring support, on- and off-course mental skills and technical advice where needed. The programme is very much intended to complement the home coaches input, to allow the golfers to thrive in a fun environment, and own their golfing journey.
Peter has mentored over 300 young golfers along their pathway towards the highest levels of the game. Some of the golfers on the SGS college programme included DP World Tour player Jordan Smith, PGA Cup Player Ash Mansell, England Men’s Order of Merit winner Mitch Waite, Clutch Tour winner Olly Huggins, Carris Trophy winner Ben Amor, Welsh Men’s Strokeplay champion Milan Reed, The Open competitor Ali Balcombe, and most recently England Men’s team member Lewy Hayward, to name just a few who have gone on to realise their potential in the game.
Who will coach the Rugby Academy?
Matti Williams is a professional rugby player with over 15 years of experience competing across South Africa, the English Premiership, and France.
What qualifications and credentials does the coach have?
As well as his extensive professional career, Matti holds a Level 3 qualification in Strength and Conditioning and is completing his Level 3 Coaching qualification.
What relevant professional experience does the coach bring?
Matti brings profound high-performance experience from elite rugby environments globally. He currently coaches within the Bath academy and works as an assistant coach with both Bath Ladies and the University of Bath students. His coaching roles focus on helping young athletes develop as they progress through the local performance pathway.What specialist areas does the coach focus on?
Matti specialises in player development and athletic performance to create an environment where young athletes can progress. His professional experience gives him a deep understanding of how to nurture talent and build confident athletes that meet the requirements of the modern game.
