CELTA

The Cambridge English CELTA course is an introduction to teaching which will provide you with the skills and knowledge to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages.

The CELTA is widely recognised and is a level 5 qualification on the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework).

It's not necessary to have any previous teaching experience. You need to be over 20 years old, have a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education and an English level of C2 on the CFR.

If you don't have formal educational qualifications at the level indicated above, or are aged between 18 and 20, we may still accept you if you can demonstrate that you'd be likely to complete the course successfully.

Please note: You will need to successfully complete a language awareness task and an interview to be accepted on the course.
