Are you intrigued by the complex workings of the brain and how it impacts our behaviour? Our Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology combined with an EPQ (Extended project Qualification), are applied General qualifications for post-16 learners wishing to continue their education through applied learning. This qualification will allow learners to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment.

Once you have completed this course, it is possible to progress to further Level 3 programmes in specialist subjects. By doing so, you will gain UCAS point required to progress into Higher Education to study subjects like Sport & Exercise Sciences, Children’s Play Learning & Development, Health & Social Care, Business and Protective Services (Uniformed Public Services) and Criminology.

What is the aim of the course?
You will have the opportunity to develop the research, communication and critical-thinking skills valued by higher education. These qualifications have been developed in consultation with academics to support your progression to higher education or employment. Those who successfully complete their programme will achieve a nationally recognised qualification at the appropriate level. As this is a one year course you can also study a first/second year in another related subject such as Criminology to support your step into HE/employment.
