Course Overview

Being a young person these days has more pressure than ever before. Mental health problems amongst the young are becoming more common as bullying, exams and social media have all added to their mental strain. We recommend this course to anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of the mental health issues which affect young people. This could be teachers, parents, support workers, or charity workers wishing to improve their knowledge of topics such as how children express feelings, the impacts of bullying and tackling social stigma.

Learners start and complete our distance learning courses every day, all year, so there is no need to wait until term begins. The courses are designed to be ready when you are, so you can fit it into your schedule.

Study takes place in an online virtual learning environment (VLE) which allows convenient and flexible learning. We recommend spending 6-8 hours studying per week to ensure that you meet your assignment deadlines.
