The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering is designed for individuals aged 19 or older. This vocational qualification focuses on developing practical skills, and providing excellent client consultation services. The course aims to equip learners with a high level of occupational ability, preparing them to enter the men's hairdressing sector.

Throughout the course, you will gain a sound understanding of health and safety in the barbering industry, alongside the practical skills needed. The primary goal is to develop your practical skills to a high standard, enabling you to perform salon services independently.

  • Open to anyone with an interest in barbering.
  • No formal prerequisite qualifications are required; however, a good level of English and  Maths is beneficial.

All applicants will be invited to an interview with the course tutor which may include an initial assessment to ensure the qualification is appropriate for them. It will also be the opportunity to ask any specific questions you might have about the programme.
