The Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification is designed to develop the essential knowledge and practical skills required for working in care environments. It includes a combination of mandatory and optional units, allowing learners to customise their learning experience based on their interests, career goals, and job responsibilities.
You will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, as
you will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills via observation in
the workplace. You will need to be able to demonstrate skill in practising
regulated activities such as giving or assisting individuals with medication,
infection control measures and assisting with personal care activities.
While there are no formal entry requirements, learners must be aged 19 or
older to enroll.
All applicants will be invited to an interview with the course tutor which
may include an initial assessment to ensure the qualification is appropriate for
them. It will also be the opportunity to ask any specific questions you might
have about the programme.
To complete this qualification, learners must achieve a total of 58 credits:
