This course aims to develop a learners knowledge and skills in a range of areas including the theoretical and practical elements. Upon completion of this course, progression routes include a third year top-up and a range of employment opportunities. Alongside the main qualification, we also focus on developing personal skills and work based learning opportunities with a range of external partners.
The course is delivered via a range of practical, theoretical and discussion based sessions. You will interact with experienced and highly skilled practitioners who will develop your knowledge and encourage you to engage with the relationship between theory and practice within sport, coaching and exercise science. A variety of assessment methods are utilised to develop a range of skills e.g. portfolios, presentations, micro teaches.
Progression on to a variety of Sport Honours Degree programmes, depending on overall and specific unit grades, including BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Exercise Studies (Level 6) University of Gloucestershire. Excellent employment opportunities exist in the sport, coaching, health and exercise science industries.
