Course Overview
The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Marketing is equivalent in size to One A-Level. This qualification is aimed at: Learners who have an interest in Marketing, have been successful in their GCSEs but need to re-sit GCSE Maths, Learners who are looking to progress into employment in the Marketing sector or Learners who have an interest in Marketing and are looking to gain additional UCAS points to allow them to progress onto Higher Education.
During this course learners will develop an understanding of the careers available in the marketing industry and of the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work in the industry. Learners will explore marketing principles and apply them to a variety of contexts and develop and use customer communications to engage with customers.

You will be required to purchase the relevant revision workbooks and text books for the course. IT equipment required for the course is provided by the College. However, it would be a significant advantage if you have a PC at home for independent study.
The qualification is fully mapped to the CIM L3 Foundation
Certificate in Professional Marketing. This means that it will be
recognised by employers and will support entry into this industry as a marketing
executive. This is at a cost of 285.
On successful completion of the BTEC Extended Certificate in Marketing learners may progress onto:
- T-Levels
- Employment/Apprenticeship in a marketing related sector
- Higher education if the qualification is taken as a top up to additional
level 3 achievement
