Course Overview

During this course students will explore how to create their own printed textile designs. Through original mark making, image selection and sourcing they will be guided through the processes necessary to print fabrics using various techniques. Screen print, heat press, stencils and relief among others feature. The emphasis is on self-development in a friendly group whilst becoming proficient in the use of contemporary materials that are increasingly sustainable/eco to reflect greater concern for our natural environment. Traditional dyeing and print methods alongside the inclusion of natural dyes and botanical print.
