Building on confidence made during parts 1 and 2 of 'Sewing for Beginners' learners can tackle more technically progressive techniques and refine skills on sewing projects in a relaxed and fully supported environment.

What topics are covered?

Focus for part 3 of sewing for beginners is building on previous learning to extend knowledge in working on a garment from another area of the body to bring about new challenges and design/making skills. Supporting learners to achieve more personalised garment adaption and construction skills through expanding on pattern cutting techniques and design concepts to develop the independent working processes and building on the confidence of the individual. Alongside this you will experience refining finishing techniques, working with different fabrics and include garment pockets.

Exploration and experimentation is highly encouraged and your tutor will help you to learn through practical demonstrations, practical tasks exploring sewing skills and dressmaking techniques with each student working on their own garment.
