Maths Functional Skills (23/24)

This course is delivered in person. We offer a daytime class at the Bath campus and evening class at the Somer Valley (Radstock) campus. We have very limited places for our online delivery. There are multiple opertunities to take functional skills exams throughout the year. This course will cover the following content headings: Number, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Shape and measures, Probability and Statistics

This qualification is aimed at those who have struggled with maths in the past but now wish to work towards a formal qualification either fo work or personal reasons. Functional Skills Qualifications in Mathematics at Level 1 and Level 2 are for learners who want to develop understanding and skills in mathematics. The qualifications give learners the opportunity to: ? demonstrate a sound grasp of the underpinning skills and basics of mathematical skills appropriate to the level, and ? apply mathematical thinking to solve simple problems in familiar situations.

Once you have completed Fuctional skills at level 1 you can progress on to Functional skills Level 2 or GCSE. Functional skills level 2 can allow you to progress into Apprenticeships, work or other educational routes.
