Course Overview
The main duties and tasks of a Construction Site Supervisor is the Supervision of specialist contractors, the control of health and safety standards on construction projects, recording, control and reporting of progress on a construction project, and the minimisation of the environmental impact of construction projects. To control of quality of works on a construction projects and assisting commercial staff with the monitoring of costs on a construction project lighting, power, controls and lifts. Buildings and infrastructure take on many forms from newly built facilities to the refurbishment of premises for every sector of industry. As design technicians they could be working under supervision in a design consultancy, a contractor or a manufacturing company. Ideal for those with 2-3 years experience working in a construction role or similar, this Level 4 HNC apprenticeship programme is a great opportunity for apprentices that have already completed the Level 3 Civil Engineering apprenticeship programme or equivalent full-time course and would like to further enhance their knowledge and skills. This programme is ideal for young people with work experience right through to mature apprentices wanting to retrain. Experience of Construction Supervisor Project Management is essential.

Apprentices without level 2 (GCSE 4/C) in English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior starting the apprenticeship programme.
