Course Overview
This pathway will provide you with the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Construction Skills Centre at our Somer Valley Campus.These courses have been designed to develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to work in your chosen field within the carpentry industry. You will learn how to erect complex structural carcassing components, how to maintain non-structural and structural components, and how to set up and use fixed and transportable machinery.

You must have successfully completed Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery to join the course at Level 2. .
Resources fee.
This pathways is suited for people aged 16-18 and may also meet the needs of mature students up to 25 years. Those who successfully complete their programme will achieve a nationally recognised qualification at the appropriate level.
You will be assessed through workshop-based practical assessments and multiple choice end-of-unit knowledge tests.
On successful completion of Level 2, you can progress onto the Site Carpentry Level 3 course or further courses in construction design and management.
