Course Overview

Conversations are a little longer than those at Starter level (A1), and include more complex conversations. Express yourself via extended speaking in front of others, such as presentations and speeches at events. In order to attain these Can-dos a range of elementary sentence patterns used naturally appear in the materials. A2 level, classroom activities, in the same way as at Starter level (A1), focus on learners noticing by yourselves the important expressions used in audio recordings of conversations that you listen to fully before doing speaking practice. At Starter (A1) level fixed expressions are very common, but at A2 expressions that are structurally a little complex increase, such as expressions that involve conjugation of parts of speech, modification of nouns, etc. Because of this, the section Discover was devised in order to guide students on how to notice correctly.

Ideal for those of you who have some experience of Japanese already and/or for those of you who have completed a beginners course in Japanese.
The aim of the study related to Japanese characters is to become able to read 100% of katakana and hiragana by the end of A2. In Lifestyle and Culture there is an increase in the number of questions that turn to aspects of Japanese society in learners' immediate environments, such as the roles of men and women, volunteer activities, and the generation gap. By the end of A2E1 course you will be able to: Talk briefly about where you/your family live and what you/ they do (speaking and interacting) Say what language you speak with your family and friends(speaking and interacting) Talk about your hobbies(speaking and interacting) Read short, simple comments about someone's self introduction on a website(reading) Write short, simple comments about someone's self introduction on a website(writing) Talk about the changing of the seasons(speaking and interacting)
