Building on confidence made during parts 1,2 and 3 of 'Sewing for Beginners' learners can tackle more technically progressive techniques and refine skills on sewing projects in a relaxed and fully supported environment

What topics are covered?

Very much continuing with the theme of building confidence and independent working skills. More freedom in project choices working closely with developing individual skills and extending knowledge. Focus is garment construction from pattern cutting adaptions to suit the individual to refining the finish of sewing skills from fastenings, seam finishes, 'fit' of garment and construction.

We recommended that you complete part 1 and 2 prior to attending this 'Extended' level course.
This course is run by an experienced and enthusiastic tutor who aims to bring out and celebrate the strengths of the individual. Exploration and experimentation is highly encouraged and your tutor will help you to learn through practical demonstrations, practical tasks exploring sewing skills and dressmaking techniques with each student working on their own garment.
In later weeks, you will need fabrics and fastenings - your tutor will advise
