Course Overview

This course is for you, if you have a minimum of grade 3 in GCSE Maths and/or are considered by the tutors to be capable of successfully completing in one year. GCSE maths runs in two formats: Our evening classes are delivered at the both the Bath campus and Somer Valley (Radstock) campus. Our daytime class is face to face for the entire course, this class only runs at the City Centre campus. The course will cover: -Number -Algebra -Ratio, proportion and rates of change -Geometry and measures -Probability -Statistics

Frequently asked questions

GCSE and FS maths are FREE at point of entry until you achieve a Grade 4 or C. If you already hold a Grade 4 or Grade C at GCSE then a course fee will be incurred.
To do this course you will need Functional skills level 2, a previous D grade or Grade 3 at GCSE and/or will need complete an initial assesment that shows GCSE level skills.
To provide a strong foundation for further academic and vocational study and for employment, to give students the appropriate mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding to help them progress to a full range of courses in further and higher education. This includes Level 3 mathematics courses as well as Level 3 and undergraduate courses in other disciplines such as biology,geography and psychology, where the understanding and application of mathematics is crucial
