Course Overview

The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting covers high level Accounting and Finance topics and tasks. Students will look at and become comfortable with a wide range of financial management skills and applications, and gain compentencies in, draftingh Financial statements for limited companies, recommending accounting systems strategy, and constructing and presenting complex management accounting reports. Students will also learn about specialist areas such as tax, auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management. This qualification comprises four mandatory units and two specialist units selected from a choice of five options (420 guided learning hours in total). The course will cover the following units, The mandatory units are; Management Accounting Budgeting, Managment Accounting: Decision and Control, Financial statements of limited Companies, and Accounting Systems and Controls. The optional units are; Business Tax, Personal Tax, External Auditing, Cash and Treasury Management and Credit Management.

Students can start with any qualification depending on existing skills and experience. For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and Maths. Students must have the AAT Level 2 and the Level 3 Qualification before the level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting enrolment.
The course will be taught in classroom (face-to-face) and online teaching. The students will be assessed internally and externally. The internal assessment will be a sample assessment with marking scheme. Tasks will be accompanied by marking schemes and are reflective of the depth of content coverage, level of demand, duration and mark allocation of tasks that will be in the live assessment.
The purpose of the AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting is to enhence the skills developed from the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting qualification, enabling students to maximise opportunities in their current or new employment. By studying for the qualification, studnets will acquire lifelong professional accountancy and finance skills. this qualification comprises four mandatory, and two specialist units, from a choice of five options, giving a total of 420 guided learning hours.
The standard qualification fee comprises four assessments fees, and the student will required to pay the assessment fees to your training provider or the assessment venue.
