We know that GCSE Results Day can be a stressful time, so we have compiled some useful information. We will update this page over the coming weeks with resources, FAQs and other information and guidance to help you through taking your next steps, understanding your grades and how you receive further advice and guidance if you have questions and concerns. Need Careers Advice on your next step?
Once you have received your results, which will be emailed to you on either Thursday 15th (Level 3) or Thursday 22nd (Level 2 & GCSE), you might feel you need some guidance on what to do next, pop into one of our campuses to discuss your options. We will have staff on hand from all College provisions, at varying levels. We also have a dedicated Careers advisor who can give broader advice if you’re still confused. We will be running these advice clinics across both our Campuses, City Centre (Avon Street, Bath, BA1 1UP) and Somer Valley (Wells Road, Radstock, BA3 3RW), between 1pm and 4pm on Thursday 22nd August 2024.

We've compiled some FAQs about your exam results that you might find useful.
- When will I receive my results?

BTEC & UAL
Level 2 results will be issued to students on Thursday 22nd August and Level 3 results will be issued on Thursday 15th August.
Functional Skills English & Maths
You will receive your certificate when you have passed all components of the qualification - there are not specific results days for functional skills.
T Levels
Results will be issued to students on Thursday 22nd August.
- Will I receive results if I am on the first year of a two year programme? (BTEC & UAL)

If you have completed a foundation year you will receive results for any externally assessed units and a certificate in due course.
- When will I receive my certificates?

BTEC & UAL
Certificates will be sent to you in the post to your home address. Please note that these are not sent to centres until October/November.
C&G, EAL, IMI, AAT and any qualifications that do not include a dated exam
You will receive your certificate when you have passed all components of the qualification - there are not specific results days for qualifications which do not include dated/national exams.
- How will UCAS know my overall result? (BTEC & UAL)

The awarding bodies upload all overall results onto the UCAS portal.
- My unit was lower in May/June than in January? (BTEC)

The highest result you have achieved will be recorded, so if you achieved a Merit in January and a Pass in May/June, the Merit will count.
- I'm not happy with my exam result(s), what can I do? (BTEC & GCSE)

Speak to your tutor in the first instance. We may be able to access a copy of your script and your tutor can see if it has been marked correctly, but we will need your written permission to do this. We can then request a review of marking doe which, again, we will need your written permission. It's very important for you to know that this is not a remark, it's a review of the marking. You should also be aware that your mark could go down as well as up.
